About the Photographer & Owner:

Rachel Leigh Shumate, her pseudonym being Leigh*Leigh, has been interested in art all her life. She first picked up a camera as part of an assignment for an art project and found that she had discovered her preferred medium.

In 2006 Rachel started Leigh*Leigh Photography as a sole proprietorship, and in May 2009 officially became a Limited Liability Company (Leigh-Leigh, LLC).

Rachel has been published in Wonderful West Virginia, West Virginia Living, and West Virginia South. She is a member of Professional Photographers of West Virginia. She attends conferences and participates in print competitions held by PPWV in order to further her education in this ever evolving profession.

Rachel witnesses beauty and uniqueness in the people and world around her, and experiences great fulfillment when she is able to capture and portray this in her photographs. She finds that photography allows her to express her creativity through the camera as well as through the application of art techniques.
